Megan Andelloux leapt into the world of sexuality through Planned Parenthood as a Sexuality Educator in 1998. For the following 9 years she witnessed the effects of the country’s ostrich behavior when it came to sexuality education, especially regarding the pleasure aspects of sexuality. Part of the reason for the severely limited information available to the public has to do with the strong hold that conservative religious organizations have over their congregations and consequently, both those being educated and those making the choices about what constitutes comprehensive sex education.

In her youth, Megan was a member of the Pentecostal church, Assembly of God. After years of participating in this ultra religious community, Megan switched teams; becoming a staunch liberal feminist. Her experience in this Religious Right organization has given her the ability to decipher the rhetoric commonly used when religious conservatives talk about sexuality and equality issues.

She regularly watches the 700 club and goes undercover at Religious Right conferences in order to keep an eye out on new battles the conservative party is planning. With this information, she provides consultations to companies and organizations on the battles and talking points the Conservative Party holds towards sexual rights.

Megan is an AASECT certified Sexuality Educator and ACS board certified Sexologist. She is a regular expert on the award winning sexualhealth.com and an author in the book We Got Issues! A Feminist Response to Cultural Attitudes on Feminism. She is currently the Director of the Miko Learning and Resource Center located in Providence, RI. The Miko Learning and Resource Center was developed to help people create a healthy relationship with their sexuality. Megan provides adult sex education workshops in the Miko Learning and Resource Center and works closely with medical providers in the Providence community. She has conducted workshops at over 25 higher learning institutions in the New England and Tri-State area.

Her vast array of knowledge equals sassy, sharp, and engaging presentations. Her entertaining and educational workshops leave attendees bursting at the seams with awareness of current issues facing sexuality today, better sexual skills and a desire to stand up for their sexual rights.

She frequently speaks on:

  • Erotic Justice
  • The Controversy/Politics of Female Sexual
  • Pleasure, Desire and Orgasms
  • Understanding the Right Wing Rhetoric
  • Beyond Birth Control: Reproductive Rights
  • The Educational Role of Feminist Run Sexuality
